Save the Date: Reworlding Spring School @UHasselt 2026
Description
We are excited to announce that the Reworlding Spring School will take place at UHasselt from May 4 to 8, 2026! In this reworlding spring school we explore the role of “re-institutioning” in socio-environmental transitions.
While the program is still in the making, indicative topics will include:
- - How to design the interrelations between communities and (public and private) institutions in tackling socio-environmental transitions (e.g. in farming, water, energy, labour,...)
- - How new forms of human and more-than-human collaboration can be introduced within governmental and private institutions (e.g. with an eye for inclusivity, diversity)
- - Reflecting if a “more-than-human governance” - governance taking into account both human and more-than-human lifeworlds - of transitions can take shape (e.g. bioregions)
PhD students interested in these themes can submit a one-page motivation letter. The call will be launched on January 6. A group of 20 participants will be selected to join a series of preparatory online lectures and the spring school itself.
More information and registration details will follow soon. Stay tuned and don’t miss out!
