Michaƫl Stas

Description

Michaël Stas is an architectural engineer (KU Leuven) and urban planner (KU Leuven and IUAV Venice). After graduating, for a short period he joined Architecture Workroom Brussels, where he worked on the research and exhibition of A Good City Has Industry. He then worked for Paola Viganò Studio on various projects ranging from a landscape park, urban projects and public spaces to large-scale territorial visions, such as the Blue Space of the Lille-Kortrijk- Tournai Eurometropolis. Among other things, he was project manager for ‘Over the Ring – South-east segment’. He also acted as one of Paola Viganò’s teaching assistants at EPFL Lausanne (2017). Since the summer of 2018, he has been working for the Flemish Department of Environment
on several spatial transformation projects, the first being ‘Depaving Testing Grounds’. He combines this with teaching cartography and territorial representation at ENSAP Lille.
